Who we are
This website is run by Blitsol, an independent software studio in the Netherlands. Blitsol is the data controller for everything described on this page — meaning we decide what happens with the small amount of data we handle, and we're the ones to hold accountable for it. Blitsol is a one-person studio, so there is no department behind this policy — the person who wrote it is the person who answers your email.
What we process and why
This site has no user accounts, no forms, and nothing to sign up for, so there is very little to tell. We process three kinds of data, and only three:
- Business contact details of travel-trade professionals. We sometimes send relevant, business-to-business email to travel advisors and agencies whose contact details are publicly available — for example on their own websites or in trade directories. We do this on the lawful basis of legitimate interest (article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR): we build software for the travel trade, and we only contact people whose work it plausibly concerns.
- Email you send us. If you write to us, we process your message and email address for one reason: to read it and reply.
- Anonymous visitor analytics. This site collects aggregate, cookieless visit statistics. More on that below.
What we don't do
This site sets no cookies and contains no tracking pixels. We don't sell or share your data with anyone. We don't build profiles of you — not from your visit to this site, not from any email exchange.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand roughly how many people visit this site and which pages they read. It is aggregate and cookieless: it doesn't track you across sites, doesn't store anything on your device, and doesn't create a personal profile of you. We see numbers, not people — enough to know whether the site is doing its job, and nothing more.
How long we keep data
Outreach contact details are kept until you object, or until they're no longer relevant to what we do — whichever comes first. Email correspondence is kept as long as we need it to handle the conversation, and no longer. We don't keep archives for the sake of it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us at any time to tell you what data we hold about you (access), to fix it if it's wrong (correction), to delete it (erasure), or to stop using it (objection). An objection to direct marketing is always honored — immediately and permanently, no questions asked.
To exercise any of these rights, email[email protected] and we'll take care of it. It costs nothing, and a plain email is enough — you don't need to fill in a form or quote the regulation at us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, theAutoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
